Family members and/or significant others have the ability to participate in some program activities as well as working with their loved one's primary therapist in individual therapy sessions.

The Family Program is designed to promote the well-being of those who live with or care about an individual who is experiencing addictions and/or emotional disorders. Through education and guidance, family members and/or significant others learn about the therapeutic treatment model and how it can be continued upon their loved one's return to their home environment.

ATI's Family Program helps to alleviate confusion and anxiety, and promotes healing by opening the levels of communication and understanding. By becoming aware of the perceptions and thinking that shape their own behaviors, participants leave the program with new, healthy ways of perceiving themselves and their loved ones. The Family Program experience can range from two to four days and would be coordinated with the client's primary therapist. Pricing and scheduling would be done through the Admissions Department. In their spare time, while in the Clearwater area, family members and/or significant others have a wide range of activities to explore. Depending upon space, housing may be available adjacent to the client living quarters, located in Dunedin, Florida. There are also many hotels available in the area as well as beach resorts.

Dunedin is just minutes from Caladesi Island and Honeymoon Island, which are perfectly situated just minutes from downtown Dunedin with it's many outdoor restaurants and shopping, and Florida charm. Dunedin is on the West Coast of Florida along the Gulf of Mexico. Caladesi Island and Honeymoon Island State Parks feature a sanctuary of beautiful, unspoiled white sand beaches, nature trails, and a family-oriented nature center. You can spend time at the beach, rent a boat or jet ski, play tennis, bike or roller blade the Pinellas Trail, golf 18 holes or enjoy hitting a bucket of balls at local public golf courses. The Toronto Blue Jays spring training complex is located in Dunedin.

Clearwater is the county seat of Pinellas County and is located on the highest coastal bluff in Florida. Two major airports conveniently nearby Clearwater and Dunedin are Tampa International Airport and St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport. The downtown Clearwater area is the gateway to the beautiful Clearwater beaches.

Tampa/St. Petersburg is about 30 minutes away. A short drive to Tampa, you can visit the International Mall which features exclusive indoor shopping, Busch Gardens, Lowry Park Zoo, or the Florida Aquarium. The popular Clearwater Beach is about 15 minutes away. While visiting Clearwater, stop by the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and visit some of our rescued friends. Orlando and the Disney Parks are about 90 minutes away.
