Treatment Facilities & Accommodations
The therapy day takes place at our suite of clinical offices which
is located approximately 10 minutes from the client
living quarters. This allows for a more normal separation of therapy and living
environments. The clinical offices offer a calm and
peaceful atmosphere where clients are able to concentrate on their therapy in
a non-stressful setting. Transportation and supervision are provided by our Staff
on a 24-hour basis.
The living quarters in Clearwater, Florida offers
comfortable apartment style accommodations including
guaranteed shared apartments, swimming pools, tennis
court, fitness center, washer/dryer in each apartment,
and cable television. The living quarters are located
approximately 10 minutes from the beautiful, white
sand beaches of Clearwater. Each apartment has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Every client has his/her own individual bedroom.
A.T.I. uses a local environmentally friendly cleaning service for both the
clinical offices and client living quarters.
Green Clean, Inc. uses only
non-toxic, environmentally conscious cleaning supplies.
It is the philosophy of Alternative Treatment International to provide as normal a living situation for each individual as possible while in treatment. We do not believe in institutional, lock down, or completely isolated environments where clients feel separated from a normal life. All clients are supervised but are given the opportunity to practice and experience a more realistic lifestyle in treatment, prior to discharge and returning home. You will be provided with a stress-free living environment where you are able to relax and process the daily therapeutic activities in the comfort of a home-like atmosphere. Everyone is afforded the opportunity to utilize the pool, fitness center and tennis courts daily to enhance their physical fitness and relieve stress. During evening hours, you may be provided with lectures, assignment and reading time, or just have the freedom to do laundry, cook, watch television, journal, or simply reflect on the daily therapeutic activities.
